That said, nearly every other Humble Games title has launched into Game Pass, so we can’t rule it out, plus it’d be a great leg-up for the game on Xbox as it goes into full release - it’s been available in early access on PC and PlayStation for some time, so a lot of folks interested in the Pokémon-alike may well already be involved on other formats, potentially making the new Xbox version a bit of a hard sell.

For one thing, it’s out in a few weeks and available for preorder, which is typically not the case with surprise additions, plus it has a premium price point compared to other smaller games from publisher Humble Games. We’ll kick things off with probably the least likely Game Pass addition of the lot, and that’s monster-taming MMO, Temtem. While it’s easy to just want everything to come to Game Pass, this selection will primarily be based on educated guesses and prior form to see what surprise additions we might realistically expect in the next month or so. We already have quite a few games confirmed for Xbox Game Pass in September - Train Sim World 3, Disney Dreamlight Valley (Early Access), Hardspace: Shipbreaker for console, Slime Rancher 2 (Early Access), Grounded’s full 1.0 release, and more - but Microsoft always has a few surprises in store. Xbox Game Pass tends to get a few surprise additions each month, so we thought we’d check out the release schedule for September and see if we can’t deduce what a few of next month’s Game Pass surprises might be…
